As a Senior Field Service Technician
, you’ll operate independently in a company‑provided service van, delivering advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on forklifts and material‑handling equipment across customer sites.
You’ll also serve as a technical leader — mentoring junior technicians, setting quality standards, and helping drive operational excellence in the field.

What You’ll Do- Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize breakdowns
- Operate independently in a fully equipped company service van
- Support warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing environments
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
- Execute first‑time‑right repairs
- Perform inspections, safety checks, and scheduled service programs
- Maintain fleet equipment to OEM and compliance standards
- Train and support junior technicians
- Share technical knowledge and best practices
- Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and workmanship
- Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly
- Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and repair documentation
- Follow OSHA regulations and safety standards
- 5+ years as a field service technician, heavy equipment mechanic, forklift technician, or industrial equipment technician
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working independently in the field
- Valid driver’s license
- ASE certifications
- Forklift or OEM certifications
- Dealer or industrial service experience
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and digital service platforms
- Strong problem‑solving ability
- Customer‑facing communication skills

- Standing, bending, kneeling, and working in diverse weather conditions
- Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial environments
