Drill and Blast Operator

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Document and record all data for holes drilled during shift.
• Rebuild DTHhammers
• Change out consumables on drill rig. (bits, hammers, Drill steels)
• QAQC Blast Patterns as Needed
• Communicate with supervisor and other members of theteam

• Any experience with heavy equipment ( Dozer, excavator, Front endloader)
• Any Drilling experience ( oil and gas , exploration, RC)
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs
• Understanding of Drill Patterns anddesign
• Works well in ateam environment
• Small support equipment experience (Skid steer, WA- 270
  -wheel loader)
• Attention todetail
• Education

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear andsee.
• Must be able to work shift work with 12
  -hour shifts.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
• Work is in asurface mine setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in amine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
