HVAC Repair Technician

ARS/Rescue Rooter is seeking an HVAC Repair Technician to service residential systems in the Memphis area. In this field-based role, you'll diagnose and repair furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation of customer comfort systems. You'll use your technical skills and customer service mindset to explain findings, offer solutions, and promote service options. ARS/Rescue Rooter offers year-round work, strong training, a safety-first culture, and clear paths for advancement in a national service network.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and system tune-ups.
• Start up, test, and verify safe and efficient HVAC system operation.
• Accurately document work performed using company systems and follow dispatch procedures.
• Communicate findings, options, and recommendations to customers clearly and professionally.
• Follow all ARS/Rescue Rooter safety policies and industry regulations on every job.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean and working order.
• Assist with equipment change-outs and support installation teams as needed.
• Participate in ongoing technical and safety training to maintain skills.
• Promote service agreements and additional services that improve system performance.
