The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a maintenance worker to assist in construction, repair, and preservation of roads and bridges on the state highway system under direct supervision. Duties include operating 5-yard dump trucks and other equipment, performing manual tasks such as sign maintenance, drainage work, vegetation control, pothole patching, and assisting in winter operations.
A valid driver's license is required, with CDL to be obtained within six months of placement.
