Backroom Associate - Sam's Club

Position Summary

Maintains and processes shipments for the Club in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include developing and posting delivery schedules, compiling and organizing receiving reports, verifying merchandise counts, routing merchandise to proper locations, paying expenses, receiving merchandise, organizing and maintaining the receiving area, utilizing equipment, merchandising, completing documentation, tracking and processing claims, handling damaged goods and liquidation, maintaining and cleaning the clearance area, utilizing technology for reporting, maintaining safety standards, conducting safety sweeps, forklift spotting, handling hazardous materials, reporting unsafe situations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and values.

• Develop and post delivery schedules.
• Compile and organize receiving reports, verify counts, route merchandise, and pay expenses.
• Receive merchandise, organize and maintain the receiving area, utilize equipment, and complete required documentation.
• Track and process claims, return damaged goods, handle liquidation merchandise, and maintain the clearance area.
• Maintain facility safety by following all safety standards, conducting safety sweeps, forklift spotting, hazardous material handling, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Comply with company policies and the Open Door Policy, acting with integrity and ethics.
• Complete work assignments by using resources, collaborating with managers and coworkers, prioritizing tasks, and communicating progress.
• Demonstrate respect for individuals, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

• Forklift Certification or will obtain a Forklift Certification within 30 days of job entry.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
