Work Shift:

Day (7:00am–7:30pm), 3×12‑hour shifts per week, full time.

Compensation: $10,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time day shift; $15,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time night shift. Additional details: 18% night differential and $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.

Position Summary

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The role is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.

Core Functions

Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and completes assessments within appropriate time frames.

Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, based on assessment data and patient, family, and health team input. Goals are realistic, measurable, and developed in conjunction with the patient/family.

Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health care team. Provides care consistent with physician orders and the nursing plan of care.

Evaluates patient and family response to care and teaching, revises the plan of care as needed, and evaluates progress towards goals.

Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a legible, timely manner according to policy.

Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice.

Participates in unit or facility shared leadership, and contributes to education and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors.

Supervises staff and workflow of the department in some roles.

Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts regarding patient health care, and provides spiritual support when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure.
BLS certification required.
Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired; one year of acute care experience in the last 12 months.
Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the specialty area through annual validations.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
Professional certification preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
