Part‑Time, Night Shift position – 2 shifts per week, each 12 hours (7:00PM – 7:30AM). Shift scheduling is self‑managed and a flat rate of $3 per hour is added for weekend shifts, where applicable.

On the General PCU 3W/3B unit, you will provide high‑quality, safe, and efficient care to patients in a 12‑bed complex care private room unit and a 29‑bed semi‑private room unit. The unit serves medical‑surgical and progressive care acuity patients, including post‑surgical, COPD, pneumonia, pancreatitis, and other conditions. You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards.

• Assess patients’ physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; review history and physical information, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and caregivers.
• Formulate a plan of care, including discharge plan, based on assessment data and inputs from patients, families, and the health team; develop realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families.
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the healthcare team; provide care per physician orders, nursing plan, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; delegate appropriately and supervise nursing care provided by other licensed nurses and personnel.
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise plan of care as needed; evaluate progress toward goals and expected outcomes with the healthcare team.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record, ensuring legibility, timeliness, and adherence to policy.
• Provide evidence‑based care; participate in research activities, unit/shared leadership, education, orientation, precepting, and mentoring when appropriate.
• Contribute to society by participating in activities that improve patient outcomes and national nursing quality indicators; engage in professional organizations.
• In some roles, supervise staff and workflow of the department.
• Interact with staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts across multiple settings to clarify information and provide spiritual support via clergy when needed.

• Current valid RN license in the state of practice (or temporary/interim RN license or compact RN licensure).
• BLS certification required; additional certifications or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
• Experience in required clinical area desired; at least one year of acute‑care hospital experience or as a Registered Nurse in a specialty area within the past 12 months.
• For certain positions, ability to operate a personal vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license (and active auto insurance).
• For behavioral health roles, possession of required Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and Arizona Criminal History Affidavit at hire.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
