Shift: Night (7:00p.m.‑7:30a.m.) – 2 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
Eligibility:
Part‑time (≤20hours per week) Behavioral Health RN with at least 1 year of behavioral health experience and a minimum 12‑month commitment may receive a $5,000 PT sign‑on incentive.
BSN preferred.
The position offers a $3/hour weekend shift differential.
Treats patients with a range of mental health diagnoses, providing 24/7 crisis intervention and therapeutic services in a medically safe, recovery‑focused environment.
The role requires assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of nursing care in accordance with professional practice standards.
- Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; review history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results.
- Formulate patient‑specific plans of care, including discharge; set realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with patient, family, and multidisciplinary team.
- Implement plans of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of team activities; provide care per physician orders and nursing plans in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revise plans as needed; assess progress toward goals.
- Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record; ensure documentation is timely, legible, and compliant with policy.
- Provide evidence‑based care; collaborate on unit or facility shared leadership; mentor and precept staff, students, and visitors when appropriate.
- Contribute to activities that improve patient outcomes, including participation in professional organizations.
- Supervise staff and workflow for the department in some roles.
- Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts to report and clarify information; provide spiritual support through clergy as needed.
- Current, valid RN license in the state of practice (or compact RN licensure).
- BLS certification required.
- 1 year of behavioral health experience; acute care experience within the past 12months for registry/travel positions.
- Ability to operate a personal vehicle with valid driver’s license; active auto insurance for home‑health positions.
- Arizonan workforce: fingerprint clearance card and criminal history affidavit required upon hire and maintained during employment (various facility‑specific licenses may apply).
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred.
- Professional certification in behavioral health preferred.
- Additional education, training, or related experience preferred.
