RN - L&D-Sun West-AZ

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Monitors maternal and fetal status, supports safe labor and delivery, manages complications, and collaborates closely with the obstetric and healthcare team.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery or obstetric nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with fetal monitoring, labor management, and high-risk obstetric care is preferred.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• Fetal monitoring certification preferred.

• Assess and continuously monitor maternal and fetal condition throughout labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, vital signs, and other indicators of maternal and fetal well-being.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments during labor and delivery.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries and respond to obstetric emergencies.
• Provide patient education, emotional support, and guidance throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia providers, and the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and ensure accurate documentation and safe patient handoff.
