Position Overview
Banner University Medicine seeks a dynamic Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. The selected ACNP directly manages cardiac intensive care unit patients within a division that is committed to the growth and career development of their team.
Key Responsibilities- Directly manage cardiac intensive care unit patients.
- Lead evening care management of patients.
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
- Interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications.
- Educate patients and staff.
- Consult with interdisciplinary team.
- Conduct research.
- Comfortable performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, education, consultation, and research.
- Highly motivated new graduates with prior critical care or cardiovascular experience.
- Current ACNP certification.
- Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certification.
- Current prescribing privileges, including a DEA license for controlled substances.
- Experience or new graduates with previous cardiology or critical care experience encouraged.
- Full time.
- 3–12 hour shifts per week.
- Night, swing, and weekend shifts required.
