ResponsibilitiesProvide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care, including monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, preparing equipment, and assisting with cardiac procedures. Observe and document patient responses, respond to emergencies, educate patients on cardiac health, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols and regulations. Perform additional duties within scope of practice.
Qualifications & SkillsOne year of recent Stepdown RN experience, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certifications include PCCN and NIHSS. Must possess critical thinking, excellent communication, physical stamina, technical dexterity, and the ability to work under pressure. Proficiency in English, PC skills, and ability to interpret telemetry data are essential.
Key DutiesMonitor cardiac and vital signs, respond to abnormal findings, assist in cardiac procedures, provide patient education, and collaborate with teams to deliver comprehensive care. Uphold safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards.
