Registered Nurse RN Outpatient Infusion position at Banner Health in Sun City, AZ.

This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The RN provides comprehensive care for adult oncology patients receiving infusion therapies in a modern, patient‑centered environment.

Varied throughout the week. Shift times 6:40am – 5:10pm. Weekends are scheduled on a rotating basis as needed.

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs; review medical history, family input, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal findings to the appropriate provider.
• Formulate and initiate an individualized plan of care, including discharge planning; set realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with patient, family, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the healthcare team; ensure compliance with orders, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and education; revise the plan of care based on assessment outcomes and evolving patient needs.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record; maintain legible, timely documentation that reflects objective and subjective data, interventions, and responses.
• Provide evidence‑based care; participate in research activities, shared leadership, and the education, orientation, and mentorship of facility personnel, patients, and visitors.
• Contribute to patient outcomes through efficient, equitable, and safe care; engage in professional organizations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise staff and manage departmental workflow when required.
• Interact with all levels of staff, patients, families, external contacts, and clergy; coordinate information, clarify needs, and support spiritual care as appropriate.

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice (or a temporary/interim or compact license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of recent acute‑care nursing experience within the past 12 months.
• For behavioral health roles, possession of the appropriate Arizona fingerprint‑clearance card and a signed Arizona Criminal History Affidavit at hire, maintained throughout employment.
• Additional state‑specific clearance cards as required for particular facilities.
• Compliance with all credentialing and background‑screening requirements as outlined by Banner Health.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
• Professional or specialty certification in oncology or infusion nursing.
• Additional related education and experience.
