Senior Data Scientist - ManTech

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine‑learning models to detect anomalies and threats across a global, multi‑cloud infrastructure.
• Process and analyze high‑velocity telemetry streams using Python, Spark, and AWS services to generate actionable security insights.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into data‑driven solutions.
• Build statistical models and dashboards that support continuous monitoring and incident response for a DHS customer.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices in data engineering, model validation, and reproducibility.

• 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on cybersecurity or threat analytics.
• Proficiency in Python, statistical modeling, and machine‑learning libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, Tensor Flow, PyTorch).
• Hands‑on experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, Sage Maker, EMR) and big‑data processing frameworks such as Spark or Flink.
• Demonstrated ability to work with high-volume, real‑time telemetry data and develop scalable analytics pipelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
