About the RoleThe Building Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of facility infrastructure by performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks. This position requires expertise in basic electrical, plumbing, troubleshooting to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions promptly. The technician will be responsible for maintaining equipment to prevent downtime. Attention to detail are essential to uphold quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained environment that supports overall association productivity.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in maintenance work involving plumbing, electrical wiring, mechanical repair, and carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor.
- Good communication skills with the ability to talk and hear effectively in a work environment.
- Two years building maintenance experience at a country club/homeowner's association preferred.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in facility maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) - Maintain

- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and structural components.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in mechanical equipment, plumbing fixtures, and electrical systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate installation and repair of components.
- Conduct drywall repairs, carpentry tasks, and other structural maintenance to maintain facility integrity.
- Climb ladders and access elevated areas safely to perform inspections and repairs as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support asset management.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to coordinate maintenance schedules and emergency repairs.
The required skills such as plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical repair are applied daily to troubleshoot and resolve facility issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Precision measuring is critical for accurate installation and repair work, maintaining the quality and safety of structural components. Carpentry and drywall skills enable the technician to perform necessary structural maintenance and cosmetic repairs, preserving the facility’s integrity and appearance.
The ability to climb ladders safely allows access to elevated systems and equipment, expanding the scope of maintenance tasks. Effective communication skills, including the ability to talk and hear clearly, facilitate coordination with team members and reporting of maintenance activities, enhancing overall workflow and safety.

5:00 am - 3:30 pm
