Club Activities Coordinator
Starting stipend: $865+ (Based on experience)
To achieve and maintain standards of excellence in club activities, while allowing all participants to develop gain through individual and group experiences. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Recruits members
- Encourages participation
- Plans and supervises all club activities and meetings
- Maintains all necessary records, reports, and budgetary accounts
- Oversees fund raising efforts, if applicable
- Secures and maintains equipment and supplies that are needed for club activities
- Represents the district in a professional manner
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve an effective and safe learning environment
- Other duties may be assigned according to activity area or building assignments
Supervisory responsibilities include supervising and advising students of particular club activity.
Qualification requirements include:
- Background or interest in the particular club activity
- Experience at the specific school level preferred
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, parents or employees of the district
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability and reflect a spirit of cooperation in working with staff and school administration
- Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in verbal and written form
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and School Board policies
- Ability to use technology to accomplish job responsibilities that may include basic knowledge of e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Physical attributes include:
- Frequently required to walk and stand
- Occasionally required to sit and/or run
- Frequently required to bend or twist at the trunk
- Frequently required to squat, stoop, kneel, reach above the head, reach forward, and repeat the same hand motion many times
- Specific vision requirements include good depth perception and occasionally being able to see objects/persons at a distance
- Frequently required to hear conversation in quiet as well as a noisy environment and be able to tell where a sound is coming from
- Must be able to communicate to the team in order to give directions
Work environment characteristics include:
- May work inside or outside depending on the club activity
- Occasionally required to meet deadlines with severe time constraints and interact with public and other workers
- Has direct responsibility for the safety, well-being of others
- The noise level in the environment is usually moderate
