Overview
Essential duties include working with Value Stream teams to identify and apply continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness; designing, developing, testing or sourcing and cost-justifying various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods; supporting senior engineers in research, design and development of manufacturing processes including welding schedules, production flow, assembly methods, production equipment and machining; project management of identified capital equipment projects;
applying failure analysis to determine root causes of problems and failures and developing solutions or recommending changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods; evaluating equipment requirements, performing cost analyses, and proposals for integrating machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process; coordinating all pre-production activities including sample evaluation, design qualification and prototype production; providing documentation and detailed drawings for manufacturing and assembly of materials, assemblies, and finished products;
preparing documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures; proficiency with design software to perform engineering and design tasks; contributing to the development and implementation of best practice Lean vision, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance; and assisting technicians and/or maintenance with troubleshooting, building and/or assembly of various machines and equipment as necessary.

- Assist technicians and/or maintenance with troubleshooting, building and/or assembly of various machines and equipment as necessary.
- Experience with and knowledge of solid modeling, Solid Works or AutoCAD engineering design software, and engineering materials and their properties.
