• 1. Handle and prepare food in a sanitary manner.
• 2. Prepare food which is palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• 3. Keep work area clean and sanitize work surfaces after food preparation.
• 4. Follow written menus and recipes.
• 5. Understand and be able to prepare therapeutic diets.
• 6. Be responsible for avoiding food waste.
• 7. Assume responsibility for meeting meal schedules.
• 8. Ensure food service equipment is in and is kept in good working order.
• 9. Work cooperatively with dietary staff and other departments.
• 10.Attend in-service training programs for dietary employees.
• 11.Observe infection control procedures.
• 12.Ensure the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process is followed in accordance to State & Federal Guidelines.
• 13.Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times.
• 14.Adhere to all facility policies & procedures, ensure they are adhered to by all responsible parties and assist in carrying out disciplinary action for non-compliance as appropriate.
• 15.Ensure adherence to the Corporate Integrity Program and the Performance Expectations at all times.
• 16.Perform other related duties as directed by the Dietary Manager and/or person of authority.
