The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Sunbury, OH. This position supports daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, managing sales floor activities, and ensuring excellent customer service. The Assistant Manager helps lead, coach, and develop store associates, coordinates staffing and scheduling, and promotes a positive, inclusive team culture. Responsibilities include maintaining visual merchandising standards, monitoring inventory and stock levels, and supporting loss prevention efforts.
The role also involves meeting sales and performance goals, analyzing store metrics, and partnering with the Store Manager to drive productivity and deliver a consistent brand experience.
- Retail operations and customer service skills, including experience supervising teams in a store or service environment.
- Leadership and people management abilities, such as coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Sales, merchandising, and inventory management skills focused on meeting targets and maintaining visual standards.
- Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and customers.
- Problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Previous retail or supervisory experience preferred; experience in fashion or apparel is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field is an asset.
