The opportunity
Delaware North UK is hiring a full-time Senior Hospitality Manager to join our team at Stadium of Light in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. As a Senior Hospitality Manager, you will be managing the hospitality operations and communicating with guests at meetings and events. - Lead a dedicated team of hospitality managers and supervisors, supporting training and development of team members, and demonstrating exceptional guest service
- Plan and support hospitality services at Stadium of Light with strong organisational skills and resources, ensuring guest focus in all decisions
- Collaborate with the meetings and events sales team in new business opportunities, as well as build strong relationships with senior leaders and provide administrative assistance as needed
- Follow all finance, payroll, and purchasing company procedures, and produce accurate post-event reporting
- Ensure the operation complies with current health and safety, food hygiene, fire regulations, licensing laws, and trading standards, maintaining Delaware North’s policies and standards of excellence
- 5+ years’ experience, with 1+ years’ management experience preferred
- Skills in leadership, communication, self-motivation, IT literacy including Microsoft Office, service orientation, and customer focus
- Operational experience in a similar setting, with 3 years’ experience in a similar role and 5-6
* fine dining environment as beneficial - Qualifications and knowledge of management or the Food & Beverage industry within hospitality and catering is beneficial
- Availability to attend shifts for matchdays and event days, due to events-based nature of roles, with opportunity for set up shifts
