Instrumentation Electrician
Location:
Sunderland
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 DOE + bonus
Hours:
Monday to Friday 07.30 – 16.00
An established business is seeking a qualified Electrician to support plant operations and maintenance within a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
The Role
You’ll provide electrical, control, and instrumentation support to ensure plant reliability, efficiency, and compliance with strict safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on instrumentation, analysers, and control valves
* Fault-find and troubleshoot electrical and control systems
* Calibrate and maintain instrumentation equipment
* Install and commission new electrical and instrumentation assets
* Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
* Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety procedures and legislation
The Environment
* Heavy industrial / process-led setting
* Safety-critical and potentially hazardous areas
* Requires a strong safety-first mindset
What You’ll Need
* NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Electrical / Instrumentation (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition certification
* Proven EC&I experience within an industrial or process environment
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
* Comfortable with shift work and on-call rota
