Summary

America's number one steak supplier is seeking an experienced IT Systems Support Specialist to work at our new (currently being renovated) production facility in Sunland Park, NM. You will be immediately providing professional IT support to setup and configure technology equipment for our current onsite staff and helping to provide IT solutions as we ramp up production for the first time in our Sunland Park facility.

You will also be assisting your fellow IT team members to provide daily company-wide support including at our other four facilities in the Chicagoland area as well as supporting our remote and traveling employees. This position is an important part of our goal to continue providing outstanding internal IT support while researching, testing, planning, and deploying technology that creates a foundation for our company's stability, efficiency, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional IT support to onsite facility, remote locations, and traveling employees.
  • Install, configure, and support IT equipment (install physical network connections where needed).
  • Install, configure, and support product labeling and barcode scanning equipment.
  • Work with various departments to support ERP system.
  • Assist IT team to deploy, maintain, and optimize company-wide IT systems.
  • Monitor, review, test, and install software updates.
  • Maintain on-site security system. This includes camera server, cameras, and security doors.
  • Maintain on-site phone system.
  • Work with IT team to meet company wide goals as well as our IT departmental goals.
Duties will include
  • Installation of employee workstations (computers, monitors, printers, scanners, etc.).
  • Perform regular PC maintenance and hardware upgrades (including cleaning fans, replacing power supplies, upgrading drives, etc.).
  • Responding and investigating security and hardware alerts.
  • Physical installation and troubleshooting of Wireless Access Points.
  • Physical installation and troubleshooting of network switches.
  • Contact approved vendors for technical support.
  • Active Directory user management (adds, edits, permissions, assign policies, etc.).
  • Review and test local backups including bare metal images when required.
  • Replace workstations when needed and transfer data or restore from backups.
  • Perform regular system software updates.
  • Resolve support issues and address user requests as needed.
  • Maintain and configure shared network printers.
  • Assist in testing ERP System updates before deploying to the live production environment.
  • Support time clock system for HR/Payroll.
  • Support document scanning devices for document imaging.
  • Support temperature and humidity sensors.
  • Must be willing and have the ability to travel, when needed.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends, when needed.
Education and/or Experience
  • 5 years + working experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to quickly understand, troubleshoot, and solve technology challenges.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Working experience with Active Directory on Windows Server (2008, 2012, and 2016) using Hyper‑V Windows Server Virtualization.
  • Knowledge and experience of installing, termination, and testing of Ethernet over twisted pair cables and fiber optic cables with SFP connections.
  • Knowledge and working experience with ERP systems (specific Aspen Systems Canopy knowledge preferred).
  • Ability to evaluate, recommend, plan, gain approval, and implement technical solutions.
  • Experience with management and testing of backup systems.
  • Experience with remote desktop support.
  • Experience with troubleshooting printing issues.
  • Experience with hosted Exchange email servers and end‑user email support.
  • Experience with supporting Apple and Android tablets and mobile devices.
  • Experience with enterprise networking (firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, access points, etc.) and general network troubleshooting concepts.
  • Strong experience and working knowledge of Windows operating systems (Win 7, Win 10).
  • Strong experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong experience and working knowledge of Google G Suite applications.
  • Strong experience and working knowledge with barcode scanners and label printers.
  • SQL Database management experience is a plus.
  • Programming experience is a plus.
  • Security camera and door lock system experience is a plus.
  • Telecom and enterprise fax technology experience is a plus.
  • Network‑attached storage experience is a plus.
