The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions within the unit during their designated shift. Working collaboratively with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures, serving as a resource for staff while embodying our organization's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate smooth admission and discharge processes to enhance patient-centered care.
- Contribute to ongoing assessments of care quality, collaborating with the management team.
- Foster teamwork by collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to improve outcomes and service.
- Engage in service recovery efforts to prioritize a patient-first philosophy.
- Promote staff engagement by implementing current nursing strategies and initiatives.
- Assist with the recruitment and training of new staff, as well as the evaluation and implementation of personnel policies.
- Manage staff scheduling to align labor resources with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.
Education:
- Required:
ADN - Preferred: BSN or MSN
Licensure/
Certifications:
- Required:
RN licensure in Texas or compact state. - Required:
BCLS - Required:
ACLS (6 month grace period) - Preferred:
National Certification
Experience:
- Required:
Two years clinical experience in Medical‑Surgical nursing. - Preferred:
One year of management experience and Acute Care experience.
