Your primary responsibility will be to deliver professional nursing care, employing the nursing process while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, to ensure quality healthcare for our patients.

• Education: A minimum of an Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or a BSN is required.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state and current BCLS certification are mandatory.
• Experience: While experience is preferred, we welcome motivated candidates eager to learn and grow. Ideally, you should aim to obtain the CRRN certification within two years of working in our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
• Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to read and write basic English with comprehension skills to accurately interpret physician's orders.
  • Knowledge of body substance isolation practices.
  • Competence in using the FIM instrument to evaluate patient independence levels throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Adept at listening and responding to the diverse needs of patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are highly preferred.

• Complete unit-specific orientation within the first 120 days on the Rehabilitation Unit.
• Effectively utilize the FIM instrument for patient assessments at admission and throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Consistently document nursing care according to Medicare requirements.
• Skillfully perform basic and advanced patient transfers within the rehabilitation unit.
