To provide professional nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. To collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team including physicians, to deliver quality health care.

• Education (Required): Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
• Licensure (Required): Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state. Current BCLS certification.
• Experience (Preferred): Attainment of CRRN or within two years working on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and passing the Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse examination.
• Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (Preferred): Reads/write basic English; knowledge of body substance isolation; uses FIM instrument; ability to listen, empathize, respond to patient/family needs; bilingual in English/Spanish.
• Competencies: Complete unit orientation within first 120 days; utilize FIM instrument for patient assessment; document in accordance with Medicare; perform basic and advanced transfers.
