Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse Cardiac Progressive Care, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with departmental standards and state regulations. You will collaborate with medical providers, advocate for patients and families, and uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure excellent patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the patient’s condition at admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Perform and monitor procedures and other functions as ordered by the medical provider, ensuring thorough and timely documentation.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action if adverse effects occur.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology into understandable language.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with an Associate and/or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cardiac or progressive care setting.
  • No travel required.
