Key Responsibilities Patient Care
  • Conduct initial patient assessments and establish care priorities based on age, clinical presentation, and psychosocial needs.
  • Perform ongoing patient reassessments to monitor progress, identify trends, and determine when intervention is required.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain individualized patient care plans in accordance with established nursing standards and timelines.
  • Make clinical nursing decisions based on patient assessments, evaluation findings, and outcomes, modifying care plans as needed.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Deliver and document timely nursing interventions that address patient needs and promote positive outcomes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Perform and document point-of-care testing and related procedures.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Utilize effective communication techniques to support positive patient and team outcomes.
  • Delegate patient care activities and unit responsibilities appropriately to ensure efficient workflow and quality care delivery.
  • Coordinate team assignments and adjust workloads based on patient acuity and operational needs.
  • Monitor delegated tasks to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
  • Follow established escalation procedures to address complex issues and concerns.
  • Assist with the orientation and training of new staff members and students.
  • Serve as a resource for patients, families, healthcare providers, and colleagues by providing professional and courteous support.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
  • Demonstrate openness to feedback, change, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and organizational development efforts.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient care and organizational objectives.
Qualifications Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
Licensure & Certifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe.
  • Additional role-specific certifications may be required and must be maintained according to organizational standards.
