This is a morning shift position from 4:30 am to 12:30 pm
.

As a Morning Food Quality Control Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring that all USDA and SSOP documentation is properly handled and maintained. Your daily tasks will include conducting tests on seasonings, batters, breadings, and marinades to ensure product consistency and compliance with established standards. You will also conduct randomized product checks, monitoring weight, length, and thickness to confirm that production aligns with customer specifications.

Additionally, you will perform hourly product pickups, metal detection checks, and box weight tracking while also conducting organoleptic testing (cooking and evaluating product quality). Monitoring and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) will be a key responsibility, as well as performing pre‑operational inspections and assisting in training backup Quality Control Technicians. Participation in weekly QA meetings will provide the opportunity to collaborate with the team on industry developments, customer feedback, and process improvements.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator for determining percentages and averages
• Adherence to quality and safety guidelines
• Physical capability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs in a cold, loud, and fast‑moving production environment
