Full‑time | Salary: $29.91 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Work with attendance personnel to monitor daily attendance of identified at‑risk students.
  • Collect teacher referrals for failing students, screen the referrals, and recommend placement in interventions.
  • Assist in the management of school and after‑school academic intervention systems.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to identify and track students with at‑risk factors.
  • Collaborate with intervention systems and support.
  • Motivate and promote student success by working with students and teachers to ensure identified at‑risk students pass all classes.
  • Assist in the continued development of a positive school culture and climate.
  • Confer with parents, teachers, counselors, support service personnel, and students on matters of academic and attendance intervention.
  • Make appropriate referrals to psychologists, social workers, and other support personnel.
  • Collaborate with math and literacy coaches to support highly capable students, focusing on preparation for higher education.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and information.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • B.A. in Education preferred.
  • Experience working with high school or middle school students.
  • Bi‑literate in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.

Other Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must upload a copy of a college diploma or transcript.
  • Valid photo identification.
  • Social Security Card.
  • WSP/FBI fingerprint/background clearance.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills to work with students of diverse academic and behavioral needs.
  • Demonstrate experience, interest, and willingness to work with students, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
  • Sensitivity to cultural and language differences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to produce accurate documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and computer software.
