Job Summary

Seasonal Forklift operator responsible for safely and efficiently operating industrial trucks to load, unload, stack, and move bales or materials.

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred but not required.
• Excellent mathematical, communication, and computer skills; strong detail orientation and ability to multitask.
• Ability to independently initiate, prioritize, and solve work problems to meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication with co‑workers, supervisors, and management.
• Proficiency in completing paperwork and data entry.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Follow written SOPs, memos, and emails and verbal instructions.
• Minimum of six months related experience with demonstrated aptitude to learn on‑the‑job.
• Familiarity with plant equipment operation and SOPs.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude; support co‑workers and assist others.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, carry up to 44 lbs, bend, stoop, squat, and use stairs and ladders.
• Adhere to personal protective equipment requirements.
• Ability to learn ERP systems for data entry and print reports.
• Preferably bilingual.
• Food handler’s card preferred but not required.

• Seguir instrucciones escritas (SOP, memorandos y correos) y verbales.
• Mínimo de seis meses de experiencia laboral relacionada.
• Familiaridad con el funcionamiento de equipos de planta y SOP.
• Sólida ética de trabajo y actitud positiva.
• Capacidad para permanecer sentado, de pie o caminando, usar escaleras, inclinarse, agacharse y levantar cargas.
• Uso adecuado de equipo de protección personal.
• Capacidad para aprender sistemas ERP.
• Preferiblemente bilingüe.
• Tarjeta de manipulador de alimentos preferible.

• Operate the following equipment:
  • Forklift – Toyota
  • Wrapper – 3M
• Prepare products for transfer and shipping.
• Assist with events within the department and the company.
• Document daily process (pallet of lbs by variety).
• Ensure quality of labels and replace them if necessary.
• Submit the following information to the Inventory Clerk:
  • Production rates and progress
  • Material inventories
  • Materials used
• Notify supervisor on production scheduled for shipment.
• Coordinate with department supervisor and team members to assess progress and discuss changes.
• Continuously seek ways to improve process efficiency and report observations and recommendations to the immediate supervisor.
• Work in conjunction with Lean Manufacturing Principles in the Pellet Plant and warehouses.
• Maintain a sanitary and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety requirements and company safety policies; observe federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in the company’s Safety Committee, if applicable.
• Understand company policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP, and cGMP relevant to the department.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Examine documents, materials, and products to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
