Job Summary

This position’s purpose is to weigh and cut product to meet production order specifications.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred but not required.
  • Excellent mathematical, communication and computer skills; strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
  • Can initiate, prioritize and solve work problems independently to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with coworkers, supervisor and management.
  • Accurate paper‑work skills for filling out documentation.
  • Works independently as well as part of a team.
  • Follows written SOPs, memos and emails and verbal instructions.
  • Minimum of six months related experience with the ability to learn on‑the‑job.
  • Familiarity with plant equipment operation and SOPs.
  • Strong work ethic aligned with company mission, vision, values and environmental and quality policies.
  • Positive attitude, supportive of coworkers and assists others.
  • Can sit, stand, walk for extended periods and access stairs and ladders.
  • Can bend, stoop and squat as needed.
  • Can wear appropriate personal protective equipment for extended periods.
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 44 lbs occasionally to frequently within normal limits.
  • Adapts quickly to changing paces and processes.
  • Attentive to task and surroundings.
  • Preferably can speak Spanish.
  • Food handler’s card preferred but not required.

Duties
  • Record information from the breakdown, pick sheet and the work log at the end of the day (including lbs before and after cutting and variety).
  • Activate machines and set up material for raw hop processing.
  • Work with labeling and/or small pack for requests and double‑check labels.
  • Weigh, cut and package product efficiently and accurately.
  • Record weight, temperature and moisture of product.
  • Receive imports for processing and packaging, making necessary weight adjustments.
  • Label and re‑label cut product for storage and shipment.
  • Set up bales by lot number and variety.
  • Track product by lot number, bale number and weight.
  • Document daily process (density, temperatures, powder fines, moisture, etc.).
  • Make copies of required paperwork (work orders, production logs, pick sheets, etc.).
  • Submit processed lbs to supervisor.
