Registered Nurse – Family Birthing Center

Astria Sunnyside Hospital, Family Birthing Center

Shift: Variable Shifts

• Provides information, guidance, and hands‑on clinical care to pregnant women and their newborns.
• Uses appropriate equipment to monitor vital signs, fetal heart rate, and uterine activity during labor and delivery.
• Administers medications related to labor, delivery, and the care of newborns.
• Provides guidance to new mothers on all aspects of recovery and newborn care.
• Performs tests necessary in the care of the newborn.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Collaborates effectively across organizational boundaries.
• Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN Washington State License.
• At least 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery and/or Postpartum Care.
• Current BLS, ALS, and NRP certification.
• Fetal Monitoring and STABLE certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• Fluency in written and oral English.

Base Pay: $41.62 – $76.86 per hour. The position is associated with a union contract. Benefits include a comprehensive package with medical, dental, retirement, and paid time off.
