About Astria Astria Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team! This position is located at our Sunnyside Hospital in the Medical Surgical Department.

Shift: 12 hour day shift, More shift information will be provided during the interview. What you get to do every day!

As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to manage and coordinate the interdisciplinary care of patients of all ages, adult and geriatric. The RN provides individualized care to the patient, family, and care givers and is competent and knowledgeable to provide care to the population served. You will:

  • Perform basic medical procedures within licensure as per policy.
  • Arrange for patients' ordered hospital admission, diagnostic, therapeutic, and dietary services.
  • Provide basic care needs to patients, including helping with hygiene and essential needs.
  • Evaluating and initiating care plans based on established standards.
  • Providing patient and family education and support recovery and engagement in the care process.
  • Regularly assessing and documenting patient progress and responses to interventions.
  • Coordinating care activities with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Ensuring accurate and efficient execution of physicians’ orders.
  • Timely communication of adverse or sudden changes in patient condition.
  • Recognizing and reporting adverse drug reactions.
  • Effective managing of patient pain and utilizing blood products as necessary.
  • Safely and effectively utilizing patient care equipment.
  • Performing patient education about conditions and treatment plan.
  • Prioritize work and effectively adapt to changes in workload.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN Washington State license.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • ACLS – within 3 months of hire
  • ENCP or PALS – within 6 months of hire
  • Oral and written fluency in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications and Education
  • One to two years’ experience in a direct patient care setting
