• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
• Experience in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting principles with experience in revenue accounting (ASC 606) in a public accounting or multinational company setting.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Experience in technical accounting assessments and operational execution with revenue agreements, including multiple performance obligations, multi-year agreements, and relative promoting price allocation.
• Experience as a business recognition professional with agreement review experience in the technology industry.
• Ability to communicate with executive management and cross-functional business partners.
• Ability to work separately in a fluid environment, while being adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities.
• Ability to lead initiatives cross-functionally in a fluid environment across a large, global organization.

Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities  know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end-to-end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. In this role, you will be a key member of the Controllership team supporting Google Cloud, ensuring accurate business recognition under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will conduct agreement reviews of cloud agreements, navigating customer agreements and advising and influencing agreement structures to optimize financial terms for the business. You will leverage your business and accounting expertise to develop solutions for new product launches and promotions, and drive process improvements through cross-functional collaboration.

Your role will be integral to the business reporting process, offering opportunities to work within a high-growth cross functional environment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$183,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   606 standards.
• Evaluate customer agreements through comprehensive business assessment documentation processes.
• Shape agreement structures during discussions to enhance financial terms and strengthen agreements.
• Build and maintain expertise in Google products and create accounting solutions for new product launches and business opportunities.
• Drive cross-team process improvements by incorporating business partner and team feedback along with industry best practices.
