Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Technical Accounting Manager to join our accounting team based in Sunnyvale, CA. The role involves driving best practices, ensuring accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606, and serving as the technical subject matter expert for revenue transactions.
What you'll do:
- Manage all aspects of the revenue cycle to ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Lead technical accounting discussions and serve as the subject matter expert with stakeholders.
- Drive integration alignment and enhance accounting‑based key revenue controls.
- Review customer contracts for revenue‑recognition implications, partnering with Sales Leadership on transaction deals.
- Manage technical aspects of the monthly revenue close process with the Operational Revenue team.
- Work with external auditors (PwC) to maintain compliance with GAAP.
- Implement reporting and process improvements.
- Evaluate technical revenue recognition aspects for new business models.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Lead annual and periodic evaluation of Standalone Selling Price.
- Collaborate with FP&A to align technical revenue recognition with forecasting.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 8+ years of progressive experience, including accounting firm (preferably Big
4) and public company experience with multiple, complex revenue streams. - Licensed CPA required.
- In‑depth knowledge of ASC 606 and multi‑element arrangements.
- Ability to conduct technical accounting research and document findings.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong presentation skills to internal management and auditors.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong SOX knowledge and internal control implementation ability.
- Experience with larger ERP systems (Net Suite).
Compensation Range
$161,000 - $191,000 USD
Further compensation may include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate plan.
