- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606) Accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience in GAAP with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606), Cost of Sales and Services (ASC 705), and Other Assets and Deferred Costs (ASC 340).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Strong investigative and data aggregation skills.
- An interest in SQL and automation experience.

You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

In this role, you will be the Accountant behind You Tube’s core business financials, safeguarding our Cost of Sales (CoS) reporting. You will manage complex, non-standard commercial agreements, manage journal entries, and design scalable, automated accounting processes. Working at the intersection of accounting, data engineering, and business strategy, you will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to build brand-new workflows and elevate existing systems—ensuring You Tube’s expenses are reported accurately, timely, and at global scale.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $105000 - $151000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
