Job Title: Sourcing Manager
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday through Thursday)
Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Strong potential for extension)
A leading global technology company is seeking a Sourcing Manager to support a high-visibility service supply chain organization. This role is focused on strengthening supplier performance, improving planning execution, and ensuring continuity of supply across multiple lines of business.
This position blends global sourcing, supplier engagement, and operational supply planning. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, analytical, and comfortable operating cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with global suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure material readiness and continuity of supply
- Drive supplier performance through structured communication, KPI tracking, and escalation management
- Support demand forecasting and inventory optimization to align supply with business requirements
- Lead last time buy (LTB) and end‑of‑life (EOL) transition planning efforts
- Identify cost optimization opportunities through MOQ/MPQ strategy, excess mitigation, and sourcing improvements
- Support new supplier onboarding and ramp readiness in coordination with factory operations
- Collaborate closely with planning, logistics, engineering, finance, and operations teams
- Work independently to resolve supply disruptions and operate effectively in ambiguous situations
- 3–5+ years of experience in global sourcing, commodity management, supply planning, or procurement
- Experience working with overseas suppliers and contract manufacturers, particularly in Asia
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling)
- Experience managing RFx processes and supplier negotiations
- Background in inventory management and demand/supply alignment
- Ability to operate cross‑functionally in fast‑moving environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in reverse logistics or service supply chain environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Mandarin language skills are a plus
- Experience with supplier performance scorecards and structured business reviews
