Staff, Product Manager

Position Summary

Walmart Marketplace is dedicated to creating a safe and trustworthy environment for our users. Seller Support & Risk Operations Product helps sellers operate confidently by making support faster, decisions fairer, compliance clearer, disputes easier, and risk enforcement smarter. We build seller-facing, associate-facing, and automated systems that resolve seller issues, protect the marketplace, and reduce operational friction at scale.

We are seeking an experienced Staff Product Manager to lead the development of our Risk and Compliance Investigation products. In this role, you will define and execute the product strategy for operations associate‑facing products enabling detection, prevention, and investigation of fraudulent and high‑risk seller behavior. You will work with a cross‑functional team of engineers, data scientists, and risk operations specialists to build intelligent, scalable, and highly effective risk systems.

• Product Strategy:
  Define the long‑term vision and strategy for the Seller Risk and Compliance Investigation product portfolio.
• Gen AI & Machine Learning:
  Lead ideation and development of Gen AI and AI/ML‑powered risk detection and investigation tools, build and deploy multi‑agent frameworks, evaluate model performance and trade‑offs.
• Roadmap Planning:
  Own the product roadmap, prioritize features, drive user experience designs and manage the backlog to deliver maximum value.
• Cross‑Functional Leadership:
  Collaborate with engineering, data science, risk operations, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution.
• Data‑Driven Decisions:
  Leverage analytics and data to inform product decisions, measure impact, and identify new opportunities.
• Market & User Research:
  Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging fraud vectors, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Communication:
  Articulate product vision, strategy, and business value to all levels of the organization.

• Experience:
  
  8+ years of product management, with at least 3+ years in risk, fraud, or trust and safety domain.
• Technical Acumen:
  Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience shipping AI/ML‑leveraged products. Gen AI experience is a significant plus.
• Risk Domain Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of e‑commerce/fintech risk landscapes, including fraud patterns, seller lifecycle risks, and investigation workflows.

  Exceptional data analysis skills and proficiency with SQL, Python, or data visualization tools.
• Leadership:
  Proven ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
• Communication:
  Excellent written and verbal skills, translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field.

Salary: $143,000 – $286,000 per year, plus performance bonus and equity opportunities.
