Senior UX Designer, Alexa Enterprise and Emerging Design

Overview

We re seeking an innovative UX Designer to join us in expanding Alexa s capabilities that help people lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. In this role, you ll work with a blend of visual and voice interfaces to help customers access the information and services they need to be at their best—transforming technology used at home and on the go into intuitive, personal experiences.

• Participate in the end-to-end design process for complex features and products. Develop early-stage concepts that help stakeholders and leaders deeply understand the customer experience while collaborating with engineers throughout the design process.
• Routinely partner with designers across Alexa to adopt and extend existing design systems. Develop new patterns, contribute to Figma libraries, and share learnings with peers.
• Incorporate insights from relevant Alexa research, conduct hallway testing, and participate in user research to inform and validate decisions.
• Collaborate with peer designers, product and tech owners, marketing, solutions architects, and business development to keep the customer at the center of decision-making. Explore opportunities to expand skills, influence, and deliver best-in-class experiences for both businesses and end customers.
• Design net-new concepts that make life more enjoyable for customers, dream up new solutions to long-standing problems, and refine product offerings with solutions architects, tech teams, and business development to secure commitments from business partners.
• Balance autonomy with collaboration within a supportive design team environment.

One week you might run user research to test how customers interpret and respond to the experience you re designing; another week you might partner with a solutions architect to build a working prototype for a conversational experience. You ll operate with enough autonomy to grow and challenge yourself while being supported by a collaborative design team.

• 7+ years of design experience
• Have an available online portfolio
• Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
• Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity

• Experience with UX design of complex workflows
• Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
• Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
