Associate Teacher

Full‑time hourly position, $27–$29 per hour (based on experience). 12 core Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required;
Associate Teacher Permit or higher desired. The role includes supporting the development, care, and education of children in a high‑quality, play‑based program at CYW San Miguel.

• Assume responsibility for the development and education of children in the assigned classroom.
• Model developmentally appropriate curriculum and agency policies.
• Oversee classroom routines, meal‑time clean‑up, and safety practices.
• Foster collaborative partnerships with families and support a safe, nurturing environment that meets Title 5 and Title 22 regulations.
• Lead a team and support staff as needed.

• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Compensation: $27–$29 per hour (based on experience)

• 12 core ECE units.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a licensed facility.
• Live Scan required (fee reimbursed after 90 days).
• Ability to start within 3 weeks.
• Willingness to work at any CYW site and occasional overtime.
• Reliable, passionate about ECE, strong work ethic, excellent customer service, nurturing, team player, and confident in instructional abilities.

Requires remaining stationary or traversing the workspace, positioning at low levels (including floor level) to interact with children; use of hands and arms to operate equipment and reach. Ability to observe and identify details at close and far range, and to exchange accurate information with others.

Work performed indoors and outdoors with moderate noise levels.
