Pay: $19+/hour

As a Program Leader, we are looking for individuals to inspire, spark curiosity, encourage creativity, foster a sense of community, warmth, and promote a deep sense of belonging for every child.

• Brookvale Elementary and Forest Park - TK-5th Grade
• Glankler Early Learning
  - PreK Only

Must be available Monday
- Friday. Hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM; two shifts offered. No weekends.

Required qualifications for the Lead Teacher position:

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and meet the following criteria:

• Education:
  
  Completion of at least 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development, specifically covering:
• Child Growth and Development
• Child, Family, and Community
• ECE Curriculum
• Experience:
  
  At least 6 months of experience at a licensed preschool (minimum of 3 hours per day for 50 days).

Required

Individuals who possess a CDA credential may have also completed the required six months of work experience specified in (c)(2)(C) above. This work experience must be verified to confirm that the requirement has been met. A teacher must have completed, with passing grades, at least six postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units of the education requirement specified in (c)(1) below, or obtained a Child Development Assistant Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

As an AlphaBEST Program Leader, you’ll be trained to do the following:

• Lead a group of students through exciting adventures in fitness, the arts, technology, and more
• Work collaboratively with peers to ignite children's sense of wonder
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students' interests and talents
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered
