ASSOCIATE TEACHER (
* SIGN ON BONUS - $1000 after 90 days of continuous employment)
Full‑time hourly position, $27–$29 per hour, depending on experience. 12 CORE ECE units required;
Associate Teacher Permit or higher desired.
We are looking for educators passionate about early childhood learning who can confidently support children’s development, model developmentally appropriate practices, and adhere to agency policies.
In this role you will:
- Take responsibility for the development and education of children in your classroom.
- Model a developmentally appropriate curriculum and enforce agency policies and procedures.
- Oversee classroom routines, meal‑time clean‑up, and maintain a safe, nurturing environment that meets Title 5 and Title 22 regulations.
- Collaborate with families, staff, and the broader community.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–5:45 PM
- Compensation: $27–$29 per hour (based on experience)

- 12 CORE ECE units required, 6+ months experience in a licensed facility.
- Associate Teacher Permit preferred; must be able to start within 3 weeks.
- Live Scan required (fee reimbursed after 90 days).
- Strong interpersonal skills – reliable, passionate about the ECE field, excellent customer service, knowledgeable, nurturing, a team player, and strong work ethic.
- Willing to work at any CYW school site and occasional overtime.
The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, traverse the workspace, and work at a low level (floor level) to interact with children. Ability to use hands and arms to operate equipment and reach, observe and identify details at close and far range, and exchange accurate information with others is required.
EnvironmentDuties are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings; noise level is usually moderate.
