Description: Join us as a Circuit Design Engineering Manager and become a member of the Analog and Digital Engineering Avionics team.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Sunnyvale, CA. You will work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full‑time.

What does this role look like?

As a Circuit Design Engineering Manager you will work on the development of a sophisticated state‑of‑the‑art avionics product in a world‑class Integrated Product Development environment.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
  • Provide leadership on a fast‑paced team from requirements through development and production.
  • Be responsible to assure coordination between functional groups during the product development life cycle.
  • Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
  • Conduct personnel management for a portion of the Circuit Card Assembly enterprise team.
  • Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.
  • Assess performance, assign work assignments, determine salary, and implement recognition and disciplinary actions.
  • Participate in technical reviews and audits.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
  • Project lead in electronics hardware design with a track record of success in meeting technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • 8+ years of professional experience.
  • Current DoD Secret clearance or higher; US citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
  • Electronics hardware design, development and test experience of avionics electronics, at the circuit card and unit level.
  • Project leadership in electronics hardware design.
  • Experience in the development including product ownership for missile, space, or equivalent high‑reliability applications.

Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience with Avionics Architecture (physical / functional).
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
  • Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics.
  • Experience with Test and Measurement Equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Aerospace experience supporting development of Flight Hardware.
  • Certified Product Engineer or Responsible Systems Integration engineering experience.
  • Missile System design experience.
  • Supply chain technical oversight experience including proposal support and technical evaluations.
  • Demonstrated experience with electronics packaging.
