• Reviewing Ser Des standards to define and develop analog sub-block specifications for Multi-Gbps NRZ & PAM4 SERDES IP.
• Identifying, evaluating, and refining circuit architectures to optimize for power, area, and performance.
• Proposing and implementing design and verification strategies using advanced simulation tools to ensure robust and high-quality designs.
• Overseeing physical layout efforts, focusing on minimizing parasitics, device stress, and process variation for high-speed circuits.
• Presenting simulation results and design data for peer and customer reviews, facilitating collaborative problem-solving and design validation.
• Documenting design features, test plans, and technical justifications to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Consulting on electrical characterization and proposing solutions for post-silicon design updates within Ser Des IP products.

• Enable the development of next-generation high-speed connectivity solutions used in advanced computing, networking, and AI applications.
• Drive innovation in analog and mixed-signal design, contributing directly to Synopsys’ leadership in silicon IP for FinFET process nodes.
• Improve product quality and reliability through meticulous design, verification, and documentation practices.

• BE + 10 years / MTech + 8 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Deep expertise in transistor-level circuit design and sound CMOS design fundamentals.
• Hands-on design experience with at least two Ser Des sub-circuits (e.g., equalizers, samplers, drivers, serialize rs, deserializers, PLLs, DLLs, bandgap reference, ADC/DAC).
• Familiarity with ESD design techniques, custom digital design for high-speed logic paths, and reliability-focused design (EM, IR, aging).
• Proficiency in schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification tools; experience with SPICE simulators and Verilog-A modeling.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, C, Python, or MATLAB is highly desirable.
