Lockheed Martin's Mechanical Products Talent Center is looking for a dynamic and industrious Mechanical Engineering Manager to support Mechanical Services. As the Mechanical Engineering Manager you will lead a Mechanical Engineering team supporting Enterprise solutions for Design, Verification and digital transformation. Leadership duties include technical direction, planning, tools, training, and staffing.
Responsibilities- Manage Mechanical resources during Program life cycles
- Develop vision and support the success of Mechanical Products, incorporating LM Space E&T strategies for continuous digital transformation
- Provide inputs and ensure compliance with program standards
- Provide hardware documentation compliant with customer requirements, Space Command Media and LM Space Best Practices
- Encourage open communication, customer satisfaction, and timely program status updates
- Engage with teams to ensure Common Products, Standardization & Optimization is part of Product Strategy and Road Mapping
- Ensure staffing tool (e.g. VEMO) is accurate and staffed in a timely and responsive manner
- Some travel is required
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent experience/combined education
- Thorough knowledge of aerospace structures hardware, knowledgeable in multiple mechanical systems (ex. flight, ground, packaging, verification, or mechanisms)
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Control Account Management (CAM) experience
- Training planning and critical skills experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts
- Organizational growth and recruiting experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of partners
- Active or Current Top Secret clearance
