CAD Layout Engineer, Component Resource and Electronic Design

As a CAD layout engineer you will participate in the definition and implementation of devices. This individual will contribute in all phases of the product’s design, including placement, routing, constraint table management, and drafting. You must bring a combination of PCB design, assembly, test and fabrication knowledge, cross‑team functional interdependence, and demonstrable design process experience to the position.

• Work with the Electrical Engineering hardware team to provide PCB board design services
• Work with the MCAD hardware team to design to fit into enclosures
• Work with fabrication vendors to supply data and seek fabrication design requirements
• Work with assembly vendors to supply data and seek assembly design requirements
• Deliver best‑in‑class PCB design to high‑volume manufacturing
• Assist as necessary in schematic and PCB footprint development
• Work with the company PLM system to write and release ECO’s

You will be part of a world‑class team comprising experts in various disciplines, including Component Engineering, Symbol Engineering, Automation Engineering, and PCB Layout. This team operates at an incredibly high standard, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible to produce some of the most sought‑after, best‑selling consumer tech products on the planet.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Experience collaborating with the ECAD/physical board designer and able to review PCB designs with Allegro, CAM
  350, or equivalent
• 3+ years of current experience using Cadence Allegro PCB Design/CIS
• 3+ years of experience with high‑speed and impedance circuits
• 3+ years of experience with compact, dual‑side assembly design
• Experience with HDI design
• Experience with BGA pitch of equal or less than 0.5mm
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel
• 7+ years of analog or RF layout design experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
