Basic Qualifications

• Strong Simulink background and professional experience in Modeling and Simulation with an emphasis on Guidance, Navigation, and Control algorithms
• Experience with Model-Based Engineering using MATLAB/Simulink and model development
• C/C++ and/or MATLAB programming experience

• U.S. Citizen
• Final Secret clearance required to start employment; active Secret clearance necessary for consideration
• Selected candidates must maintain a government-issued Secret clearance for long‑term employment on this program

As a GNC Senior Engineer you will join the GN&C team on the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program to develop and refine missile guidance, navigation, and control systems.

• Apply missile guidance, navigation, and control expertise to modeling and simulation
• Integrate MATLAB/Simulink models into a 6‑DOF C++ simulation
• Develop high‑fidelity models and simulation software
• Build new source code in C++ and Python
• Modify code in C++, C, MATLAB, Simulink, Fortran, Python, Linux shell, and YAML
• Create unit tests
• Execute simulation software on a high‑performance computing cluster including Linux systems or VMs
• Work in an Agile Dev Ops environment with Docker/Container and Kubernetes deployment
• Collaborate with performance analysts, Flight Software team, and customers
• Engage in algorithm development

Successful applicants generally have at least 3+ years of related experience and may hold a post‑secondary degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.

• Familiarity with software development and agility principles
• Distributed/parallel processing experience
• Experience with missile development or fire control
• Experience with Cameo or Unified Modeling Language (UML)
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Experience with generated code or autocode
• Possess a Secret clearance
