126 seeks an experienced Senior Electro‑Static Discharge (ESD) Systems Design Engineer to join the Centralized Electrical Engineering (CEE) Organization. The role owns designing ESD systems, working closely with Mechanical Product Design, Electrical Engineering, and Software teams from initial design through failure analysis, root cause, and corrective actions.

• Design and analyze ESD protection for consumer products.
• System‑level ESD testing for troubleshooting.
• Evaluation and selection of system‑level ESD protection devices.
• Drive existing system‑level ESD simulation methodology to higher level to address design challenges.
• Electromagnetic and circuit‑level modeling of electronic devices for system‑level ESD simulations.
• Work with cross‑functional team during architecture, design and validation phase.
• Keep executive management updated on key research and product issues.

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• 7 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in system‑level ESD design for consumer electronic devices.
• Knowledge of ESD failure mechanisms of electronic devices and ICs.
• Simulation experience in ESD and/or EMI, signal integrity.
• Experience in system‑level ESD testing and measurement techniques.
• Experience in 3‑D electromagnetic field simulation and circuit analysis tools.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design such as low‑power circuits, audio circuits, processor architecture, memories, RF integration, and various communications protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc.).
• Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout using common tools (Orcad, Allegro, etc.).

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Lab experience in ESD gun, TLP machine, ESD current probe, high‑voltage measurement, etc.
• Experience developing robust designs for EMI and RF de‑sensitization.
• Knowledge of mixed‑signal board‑level design.
• Experience in signal/power integrity analysis.

Base salary range:  –  USD annually (location: USA, CA, Sunnyvale). Additional package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
