We are seeking a QC Functional Engineer II - Application to support quality control analytical operations, tool performance, and process optimization within a cleanroom environment.
In this role, you will apply engineering and analytical skills to support lithography-related applications, ensure data integrity, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and manufacturing performance. Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience & Skills
* 3-6 years of experience as a Process Engineer, Equipment Engineer, or Metrology Engineer in a cleanroom or semiconductor environment
* Experience with lithography process equipment and/or metrology tools, with minimal to moderate supervision
* Working knowledge of SPC/SQC, measurement system analysis, and/or LIMS
* Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases, and JMP
* Experience in tool troubleshooting and/or process troubleshooting
* Exposure to tool installation, qualification, and continuous improvement projects
* Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, photolithography, and metrology strongly preferred
YOUR CORE STRENGHTS
* Strong foundation in lithography process and metrology tool support within cleanroom environments
* Hands-on experience in QC operations, data analysis, and process troubleshooting
* Proficient in statistical tools and systems (JMP, SPC/SQC, LIMS, Excel) for data-driven decision making
* Proven ability to apply structured problem-solving methods such as DOE, 8D, and fishbone analysis
* Experience supporting tool installation, qualification, and continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives
* Strong collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and operations partners
* Effective communicator with ability to present technical data in MRB, PCS, and PCB forums
* Quality-focused mindset with strong attention to process control, compliance, and continuous improvement
* Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* You will play a key role in supporting QC operations, tool performance, and process stability by:
* Supporting QC metrology, process development, tool management, PCS, MCC, and LIMS activities (with minimal to moderate supervision)
* Applying structured problem-solving methods such as DOE, 8D, fishbone analysis, and tool partitioning to resolve tool and process issues
* Performing QC testing, data collection, and analysis to support manufacturing and customer requirements
* Using statistical and analytical tools such as JMP, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and databases to interpret and present data
* Supporting tool installation, qualification, and continuous improvement (CIP) projects
* Collaborating with operations teams, engineers, and vendors to support tool and material troubleshooting
* Participating in cross-functional initiatives including quality improvement, EH&S, and 5S activities
* Presenting technical updates in internal and external forums such as PCS, MRB, PCB, and vendor meetings
* Supporting troubleshooting and improvement of lithography process and metrology systems
* Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety and quality standards

Compensation & Total Rewards
In compliance with California law, the pay range for this position is $90,000 - $125,000 annually. Compensation is based on job-related factors including skills, experience, and internal equity.
This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, and participation in applicable bonus or incentive programs, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
