Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Power Electrical Engineer with data analysis and scripting skills to design, develop, and maintain power data pipelines, deriving actionable insights through data processing and analysis, and executing hands‑on lab testing. The candidate will design system power characterization test plans, measure power consumption of device use cases, and support automation of lab equipment.
What You Will Do- Development of system power characterization test plans for battery runtime validation
- Power consumption measurement of various device use cases in on‑site lab environments
- Monitoring test results, analyzing data, and correlating measurements against estimates
- Debugging power regressions
- Create and maintain web‑based dashboards to track build‑to‑build power measurements
- Support the design and automation of lab equipment for remote long‑duration tests and develop test scripts for device power automation
- Write scripts to analyze raw measurements and logs from the DUTs
- Hands‑on hardware bench testing
- Hands‑on full form‑factor testing within lab conditions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience measuring power consumption of devices in on‑site lab environments, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, power measurement equipment, and DMMs
- Proof of writing and maintaining software for data processing and analysis
- Experience working with consumer electronics hardware research and development in a lab
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with ability to spearhead troubleshooting through ad‑hoc data analysis
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly organized, able to prioritize and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines
- Ability to network, build relationships, and drive decision‑making across functions and levels
- Experience with SQL databases, DAG pipelines, and data pre‑processing
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with data engineering frameworks such as Apache Hive, Apache Airflow, Spark SQL, or AWS S3 and EC2
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Experience with cloud‑based data platforms
- Certification in data engineering or a related field
Pay Range: $100,000 – $130,000
Compensation decisions are made based on experience, skills, education, and other job‑related factors in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.
Work RequirementsThis role is on‑site located in Sunnyvale, CA.
You must be able to commute to and from the location using your own transportation to meet the required working hours.
