About the Role :
This position will support an established Missile Defense program as a senior-level Guidance, Navigation & Controls (GNC) engineer. As part of this highly-skilled team, you will be responsible for making strategic technical decisions and working with leadership and junior engineers to deliver results. Demonstrated experience with GNC and Flight Software modeling, architectures and deployment in missile applications is highly desired.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral, are essential. Successful applicants will generally possess at least 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.

Basic Qualifications:

Skill Requirements :
• Experience with software, simulation and programming tools (ex. MATLAB/Simulink, Fortran, C++, Python etc.)
• Proven experience in the design, integration, qualification, verification, or validation of GNC algorithms.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams by leveraging excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize schedules and tasking to accomplish multiple goals in a fixed time period
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment Security Clearance / Work Authorization :
• To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
• Although not required to start, the selected applicant must be eligible to obtain, and maintain, a government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program Desired

Skills:

• Knowledge/experience with GN&C control theory and physical modeling related to spacecraft and/or missile systems
• Ability to coordinate integration activities across a team that performs missile GN&C design and analysis tasks
• Demonstrated experience with missile simulation and tool development, maintenance and use for performance analysis. Strong understanding of modeling principles.
• Experience in weapon system and/or sensor modeling.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
• Experience evaluating system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
• Project leadership and/or leadership of small teams of junior engineers.
